I have two 6/8 styles on my PSR550. 1) 6/8 slow rock and 2) modern 6/8. Neither one is a 6/8. I count 4 beats on both styles. Am I missing something? Isn't 6/8, 6 only 1/8 note beats per measure/bar?
Does anyone have a "real" 6/8 style they could send me. I suppose I could use a 3/4 style, but the 3 beats throws me off.

I always think of 6/8 time as 2 beats to the bar, each beat being a triplet, but I have noticed the 4 beat too, so I guess they are combining two measures. Don't know why.

You can find loads of great 6/8 styles at PSR-Tutorial

Good Luck,

Thanks Gary,
I have downloaded four 6-8 styles.
Will try them out tonight.

That triplet feel is actually a measure of 4/4. (each beat has 3 1/8th note triplets in it) 6/8 is more often a march tempo, and not what so many 50's tunes use for those I Vi IV V7 ballads. What you have is more like a 12/8 measure. Don't make yourself nuts - if it sounds weird, change it!
